School Travel Plan
All schools are required to have a school travel plan in place. Wordsworth Primary School are registered with Modeshift STARS which provides a national framework for the implementation of sustainable and active school travel activities and is the only national accreditation scheme for rewarding sustainable School Travel Plans (STP).
Schools can achieve three levels of accreditation:
Bronze level: For schools that deliver an up to date STP each year that is delivering the minimum required standard for Modeshift STARS.
Silver level: For schools that achieve modal shift away from the car, deliver a whole-school approach and deliver above and beyond the requirements of the basic STP
Gold level: For schools who have excelled with the STP and achieved noticeable modal shift away from the car by fully embracing sustainable travel as the norm throughout the entire school community.
Wordsworth Primary School have been awarded the Bronze level and will be working towards achieving the Silver Level.
